What happened
On July 31, 2020, a ground collision occurred at the Piotrków Trybunalski (EPPT) aerodrome. The incident involved a Tecnam P2008-JC, registration SP-LFC, and a parked Cessna 152. After starting the engine near the Aeroklub hangar, the pilot of the SP-LFC began taxiing for a training flight. During the taxi maneuver, the left wing of the Tecnam P2008-JC struck the Cessna 152, which was correctly parked near the fuel station. The impact caused damage to the left wing of the Tecnam and the rudder of the Cessna. There were no injuries resulting from the collision.
The investigation
The investigation examined the sequence of events following the collision and reviewed the actions taken by the airport management and the investigating body. The inquiry focused on the pilot's actions during the taxi phase and the environmental factors present at the time of the impact.
