What happened
On 8th December 2024, an accident occurred in Watorowo involving a Cessna 150L, registration SP-KIK. The investigation is currently ongoing, and the commission has released this interim statement to provide an update on the progress of the inquiry.
The investigation
The SCAAI Investigation Team is conducting the inquiry and has performed several investigative activities to date. These include the analysis of photographic documentation, the examination of technical and maintenance records, and the review of crew documentation. The team has also conducted interrogations of witnesses and participants involved in the event and performed an analysis of the meteorological conditions present at the time of the accident.
In accordance with international protocols, the investigation is being conducted in cooperation with the NTSB, which has designated an accredited representative. The commission has also notified EASA, the EU, and the BEA of the occurrence.
