Investigation Activities

On 5 December 2025, the State Commission on Aircraft Accidents Investigation (SCAAI) released an interim statement concerning accident number 2024-0138. The accident involved a Cessna FA150L aircraft, registration SP-KIK, which occurred on 8 December 2024 in Watorowo.

The SCAAI Investigation Team has been conducting the investigation in accordance with EU Regulation No 996/2010 and Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation. Following the accident, an event notification was sent on 11 December 2024 to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the European Union, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), and the Bureau d’Enquetes et d’Analyses pour la securite de l’aviation (BEA). In line with Annex 13, the NTSB designated an accredited representative, with whom the SCAAI team has been cooperating throughout the investigation.

The investigative activities performed to date include: preparation and analysis of photographic documentation; interrogation of participants and witnesses; analysis of weather conditions; review of technical and maintenance documentation; and analysis of crew documentation.

Next Steps

At the present stage, no safety recommendations have been formulated. The investigation team continues its work to determine the causes and circumstances of the occurrence. A final report containing detailed information will be published upon the conclusion of the investigation.
