Witnesses holding short of runway 15 observed the aircraft on an unstable approach to the runway. During the approach, the airplane struck two runway end identifier lights and bounced before landing on the runway. Following the landing, a post-crash fire occurred. The aircraft sustained substantial impact and thermal damage to the wings and fuselage.

The pilot sustained one serious injury and there were no fatalities.
