What happened
On September 13, 2025, at 16:25 EDT, a Pegasus Quantum 15 weight-shift controlled aircraft, N36TJ, was involved in an accident near Bedford, Indiana. The flight was being operated by the pilot under 14 CFR Part 91 for personal use.
During an attempt to perform a go-around, the aircraft experienced a total loss of engine power. This resulted in the aircraft impacting a soybean field located approximately one-quarter mile west of the departure airport. The impact caused substantial damage to the left wing of the aircraft. The pilot sustained 1 serious injury and was not fatal in the accident.
