Event Description
On 3 November 2025, at 19:35 UTC (21:35 local time), a Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DPJ, was operating scheduled commercial flight FR2682 from Bergamo Airport (LIME) to Avram Iancu International Airport, Cluj (LRCL). The flight proceeded without issues until the aircraft entered the controlled airspace of Cluj during the descent for the landing procedure. At that point, the copilot informed the captain that she was experiencing physical discomfort and expected to lose consciousness. The captain assumed the copilot's duties and declared an emergency. The approach and landing were performed safely by the captain. After touchdown on runway 25, the aircraft was stopped on the runway, where airport medical personnel provided care to the copilot. She was disembarked and transported to a medical facility. The aircraft was subsequently towed to the apron, and passengers deplaned. No injuries to other occupants or damage to the aircraft were reported.

The captain, a 31-year-old male, held a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and a valid medical certificate. Investigation
The Romanian Aviation Investigation Authority (AIAS) is conducting the investigation. Investigators have collected initial information from the scene, the cockpit voice recorder (CVR), and radio communications between the crew and air traffic control.
