Accident
On 11 May 2025, a Tecnam P2002-JF aircraft, registered as LY-TDT, was performing an en-route training flight. After touching down at Paluknys aerodrome, while rolling along the runway, the nose gear strut gave way. The nose of the aircraft dropped to the ground, resulting in a broken propeller and damage to the engine cowlings.
Occupants
The aircraft carried two individuals—a student and an instructor. Neither sustained any injuries.
Investigation
The accident was reported to authorities on 11 May 2025. A preliminary assessment to determine whether a formal safety investigation was warranted began on 2 July 2025. Later that same day, officials decided not to proceed with a full investigation, invoking Paragraph 5 of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No 996/2010.
