Incident Overview
On 8 August 2025, a Yakovlev YAK-52 aircraft, registered LY-RHI, was operating a flight from Tannheim Airfield (EDMT) to Mühldorf Airport (EDMY). During the flight, the aircraft experienced an engine failure, prompting the pilot to carry out an emergency landing in a field near Griesstätt.
Damage and Injuries
The aircraft sustained damage as a result of the landing. The pilot reported no injuries, while the passenger suffered minor injuries.
Investigation Status
The German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung) has not initiated a safety investigation in accordance with Paragraph 5 of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No 996/2010.
