Incident Details
On 8 September 2025, a group of hot-air balloons was being prepared for a group flight from Vingis park. After takeoff, a hot air balloon struck the envelope of a nearby hot air balloon, damaging it. The balloon that struck was a Kubiček BB78Z, registered as LY-KIS. The damaged balloon was a Cameron Heart-170, registered as LY-OHA. Following the impact, the hot air balloon LY-OHA was briefly lifted off the ground.
Injuries
One passenger on board the two balloons suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
