Occurrence
On 12 September 2023, a Cessna 208B aircraft operated by Superior Airways was conducting a flight from Red Lake Airport, Ontario, with a pilot and 6 passengers on board.
Sequence of Events
During the approach to Runway 27 at Pikangikum Airport, Ontario, the aircraft entered fog. As a result of the reduced visibility, the pilot made a long landing. After touchdown, the Cessna 208B rolled off the end of the runway.
Damage
The aircraft sustained damage to its propeller. No injuries were reported among the pilot or passengers.
Investigation
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada conducted a class 4 investigation into the occurrence. Class 4 investigations are limited in scope and do not contain findings or recommendations. They are generally completed within 220 days.
