What happened
After completing a standard flight originating from Chiang Mai, the crew successfully landed on runway 30 at Udon Thani Airport. Once the aircraft had exited the active runway and was proceeding via taxiway, the flight crew lost control of the vehicle. The aircraft type veered toward the right side of the taxiway and transitioned into a soft, grassy section of the airfield. During this excursion, the nose landing gear collapsed, causing the plane to come to a halt. There were no injuries reported among the 28 occupants, all of whom evacuated the aircraft without harm. However, the incident resulted in the aircraft being declared a total loss due to extensive damage.
Findings
Investigations into the accident determined that the primary factor was a failure within the hydraulic system. This mechanical malfunction directly led to the loss of functionality in both the braking system and the nosewheel steering mechanism, preventing the crew from maintaining the intended taxi path.
