Overview
On 4 June 2024, at 08:36 p.m. local time, an Airbus A319-132 aircraft, registered as HS-PGN, operated by Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited as flight PG962, experienced an accident while taxiing to the parking stand at Samui International Airport in Thailand. The flight had originated from Singapore Changi Airport. During taxi, the aircraft collided with a wall, resulting in damage to its nose radome.
Injuries and Damage
The accident resulted in no injuries to any persons. The aircraft sustained substantial damage, specifically to the nose radome.
Investigation
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee for the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation Commission Thailand has been notified and is conducting the investigation. As the aircraft was designed and manufactured in France, a notification was also sent to the French Republic and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The investigation is currently in the draft final report phase. The final report will be published along with the determined cause of the accident and any recommended preventive measures. As this is an interim report, no probable cause has been stated yet.
