Incident Details
On 26 November 2022 at 10:19 a.m., a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, registered as HS-DBO and operated by Nok Airlines Public Company Limited as flight DD522, was performing a scheduled passenger service from Don Mueang International Airport to Phuket International Airport. During the landing phase on runway 09, the aircraft touched the ground before the runway threshold, an event classified as an undershoot. Following the initial ground contact, the aircraft continued onto the runway, but the right main landing gear strayed off the paved surface. The gear subsequently collided with a taxiway edge light, designated as light B, resulting in damage to the light and a second edge light. The pilot managed to steer the aircraft back onto the runway and bring it to a safe stop. The aircraft itself sustained no damage, and there were no injuries to passengers or crew.

Investigation
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee of the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation Commission Thailand launched an investigation into the serious incident. Notifications were sent to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States, as the state of design and manufacture, and to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). As of December 2024, the investigation is in the process of preparing a draft final report. The committee stated that the final report will include the probable cause and will recommend preventive measures to national and international aviation authorities.
