What happened
On 6 December 2022, at approximately 7:52 p.m., a Boeing 737-800, registration HS-LUZ, operated by Thai Lion Mentari Company Limited, was conducting a commercial flight from Don Mueang International Airport to Krabi International Airport. While the aircraft was descending through flight level 30,000 (FL300), approximately 112 nautical miles from Krabi International Airport, a cabin altitude warning was triggered.
In response to the warning, the flight crew donned oxygen masks following the procedures outlined in the Quick Reference Handbook. After the passenger oxygen masks were deployed, the pilots initiated an emergency descent. The aircraft subsequently landed safely at Krabi International Airport. There were no injuries or fatalities, and the aircraft sustained no damage during the event.
