Incident Overview
On 2 December 2023 at 11:00 a.m., an Airbus A330-941 aircraft with registration OY-VKO, operated by Sunclass Airline Company Limited as flight DK2564 from Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ESSA) to Phuket International Airport (VTSP), experienced a serious incident during landing. The aircraft veered to the left side of the runway, overrunning a runway edge light and two manholes, which were damaged. The aircraft itself sustained minor damage, specifically a deep cut on its left main landing gear. There were no injuries or fatalities.

The aircraft carried 3 pilots, 10 cabin crew, and 367 passengers. No injuries were reported among occupants.
Response and Investigation
Following the serious incident, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee for the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation Commission Thailand notified the Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la sécurité de l'aviation civile (BEA) of France as the State of design and manufacture, and the Accident Investigation Board (AIB) of Denmark as the State of registry and operator, as well as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Denmark appointed accredited representatives and advisers to participate in the investigation.
Investigation Status
The investigation is ongoing. The final report, including the cause of the serious incident, will be published at a later date. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee will recommend preventive measures to domestic and international aviation authorities. If immediate action is required during the investigation, necessary measures will be taken to ensure flight safety.
The interim report notes that the investigation phase is a draft final report, and the classification of the occurrence is a serious incident under the occurrence category "Runway Excursion" (RE).
