History of Flight
On 8 October 2020, a Cessna 152 aircraft, registration S2-ADQ, operated by Bangladesh Flying Academy and General Aviation Ltd (BFA & GA), was conducting a first solo flight by a student pilot. The flight departed from Shah Makhdum Airport (VGRJ), Rajshahi, Bangladesh, using runway 17 at 0630 UTC for a circuit and landing exercise. After completing one circuit, the student pilot landed at 0636 UTC. Following touchdown, the aircraft rolled down the runway and entered the first dumbbell (a turnaround area) to taxi back to the parking bay. During the turn, the aircraft overshot the concrete surface of the dumbbell and entered the adjacent grassy area.
