Accident Overview and Location On 18 September 1982, a Beechcraft B-200C with registration OY-BEP crashed into the northern slope of the Widdebierg hill, near the locality of Banzelt, between Roodt-sur-Syre and Banzelt. The impact site was located 8.2 km from Luxembourg Airport, in the extended centerline of runway 24, at an altitude of 343 meters (1,125 ft). The aircraft was destroyed by the impact, and all three occupants were killed. Several trees were broken during the collision. The debris field extended over 100 meters in length and 50 meters in width, oriented toward 230 degrees magnetic.
