Incident Overview and Flight Details The aircraft was operating a cargo flight from Luanda to Lucapa on behalf of Hellier International Ltd. The flight carried 13 passengers, six crew members, and a cargo load of 12.6 tons of fish. ## Runway Overrun and Casualties After a nighttime touchdown at Lucapa Airport, the crew began the braking procedure when the runway light system failed. The crew lost control of the airplane, which overran the runway and came to rest against a house located 60 meters further. Six passengers trapped in the cargo hold were killed, as was one person in the house. ## Official Findings The official findings reported that the runway light system at Lucapa Airport had been functioning intermittently.
