What happened
A cargo flight traveling from Cebu City toward Angeles City experienced a series of critical malfunctions during its transit. While transporting various goods on behalf of UPS, the aircraft suffered a short circuit within its electrical system. This electrical malfunction was followed by the failure of one or more engines.
In response to the escalating situation, the crew attempted to divert the aircraft to the closest available airport. However, the flight could not reach the runway safely. The pilot initiated an emergency landing maneuver into a paddy field. During the descent, the aircraft struck an embankment and subsequently caught fire. The impact and following blaze resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. The incident resulted in three fatalities and left three crew members with serious injuries.
