A single-engine aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Manskiy Airfield, leading to multiple fatalities and significant injuries.

What happened

A local flight departed from Manskiy Airfield carrying one pilot and 13 skydivers. During the initial climb, when the aircraft had reached an altitude of approximately 120 metres, the plane experienced a stall. This resulted in the aircraft striking an open field in a nearly level attitude. The impact was followed by a post-crash fire that completely destroyed the wreckage. The debris field was located roughly 2.5 km from the village of Shalinskoye.

In the immediate aftermath of the accident, there were 11 fatalities and three passengers sustained serious injuries. However, the number of survivors decreased in the following days as two of the three injured occupants succumbed to their wounds.
