What happened
An aviation incident occurred at El Obeid Airport involving a failed departure sequence. The flight crew initially attempted to depart from the airfield, but this first takeoff attempt was unsuccessful.
During a subsequent second attempt to depart, the aircraft experienced a critical mechanical failure when an engine ignited. The resulting fire led to a crash of the aircraft. While the impact caused the aircraft to be damaged beyond repair, there were no fatalities or injuries reported among the occupants.
