What happened
While performing a takeoff roll, the aircraft reached a speed of 250 km/h when the crew attempted to rotate. However, the aircraft failed to lift off from the runway. In response to the unsuccessful rotation, the captain aborted the takeoff and applied emergency braking.
During the aborted takeoff, the aircraft veered toward the right side of the runway. The path of the aircraft took it through snow-covered terrain, during which the nose and the right main landing gear were lost. The sequence concluded 490 meters after the initial deviation, at which point the right wing was found to be bent.
Findings
- All eight occupants remained unhurt following the incident.
- The aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss, being classified as damaged beyond repair.
