What happened
A flight operating between Heringsdorf and Kamenz, which included a scheduled stop at Neuhardenberg-Marxwalde Airbase near Berlin, ended in an accident during the landing phase. While on final approach to the airfield, the captain issued an instruction to the co-pilot to assume control of the aircraft.
Following this command, the co-pilot did not follow established flight procedures. This deviation led to a loss of control at an altitude of approximately 100 meters. The aircraft subsequently entered a stall and impacted the ground before reaching the runway threshold. The impact resulted in two injuries and caused the aircraft to be written off as a total loss.
Findings
The accident was primarily driven by the failure to adhere to standard operating procedures during the transfer of control between the two pilots.
