What happened
A flight departing from Bata was conducting a special mission to Annobón Island, transporting a group of six politicians who were finishing an election tour, alongside a crew of five. As the aircraft approached its destination, the flight encountered severe meteorological conditions characterized by heavy rainfall and intense winds. During this period of turbulence, the crew lost control of the aircraft, which subsequently impacted the ocean.
Following the accident, search efforts resulted in the recovery of four deceased individuals. The incident occurred during the approach phase of the flight near the island.
