What happened
During a scheduled military supply mission, an aircraft was performing its approach to Kunduz Airport. While in the landing phase, the crew transmitted communications indicating that they were experiencing significant technical issues. Shortly thereafter, the flight crew lost control of the aircraft.
The plane impacted the ground a few kilometers before reaching the runway threshold. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. There were five fatalities among the occupants on board during the accident.
