What happened
During the takeoff roll at Huambo-Albano Machado Airport, the aircraft experienced a loss of control. The pilot-in-command attempted an evasive maneuver to steer around a depression in the runway surface. This action caused the aircraft to depart the paved surface and veer off the runway.
Following the excursion, the aircraft struck a ditch. The impact was severe enough to cause the airframe to break into two separate sections. The incident resulted in three fatalities.
