What happened
While operating a flight from Sangar toward Yakutsk-Magan Airport, an aircraft experienced a loss of power during the cruise phase of flight. The incident occurred at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters amidst active snowfall. Following the failure of the engine, the aircraft began to lose altitude.
In an effort to manage the emergency, the crew attempted to perform an emergency landing. However, during the descent, the aircraft collided with trees and came to rest in a swampy, forested region situated roughly 45 km from Sangar. The impact resulted in the total loss of the aircraft, which was deemed beyond repair. There were 13 injuries reported among the occupants, though no fatalities were documented in the crash.
