What happened
During ground movements at Arsenyev-Varfolomeyevka Airport, a twin-engine aircraft experienced a loss of directional control while taxiing. The plane departed from the designated taxiway and moved into an area containing trees, where it ultimately collided with the vegetation.
Although the impact caused significant damage to the airframe, there were no fatalities or injuries reported among those on board. Due to the extent of the structural damage sustained during the collision, the aircraft was declared a total loss.
Findings
Investigations into the incident determined that the primary reason for the excursion was a failure of the braking system, which prevented the crew from maintaining control of the aircraft's speed and path during the taxi phase.
