What happened
The pilot departed RAF Cranwell to conduct a local solo training exercise. While en route, the aviator lost command of the airplane. The machine subsequently dove toward the earth and impacted the ground in Fulbeck, situated approximately six kilometers west of the departure airbase. The collision resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and the death of the pilot.
Findings
Investigative evidence suggests that the stall occurred either due to a lack of attention or as a result of an intentional maneuver attempt. The pilot was operating well below the altitude required for such aerobatic actions, indicating that the specific maneuver was not permitted at that height.
