What happened
During a flight through adverse weather conditions, a twin engine aircraft was operating at an insufficient altitude. While navigating hilly terrain in the Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde region, the plane struck trees before crashing within a forested area. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe.
There were five fatalities recorded during the accident, which included one civilian passenger and four other occupants.
Findings
Investigations into the accident indicate that the aircraft was flying at an altitude that was too low for the prevailing environmental conditions. The primary factor in the crash was the low flight altitude while maneuvering through difficult terrain and poor visibility.
