A training flight involving a bombing mission ended in a fatal crash near Salinas de Bebedero lake, resulting in no survivors.

What happened

During a scheduled bombing training exercise, an unplanned explosion occurred within the aircraft following the release of a payload. The premature detonation of the bomb took place shortly after it was deployed from the plane. Following this event, the aircraft lost control and descended into the area surrounding Salinas de Bebedero lake, situated approximately 40 km southwest of San Luis.

There were ten fatalities recorded in the accident, as all individuals on board the aircraft perished during the crash.

Findings

Investigations into the incident indicate that the primary factor leading to the crash was the premature explosion of a bomb immediately after its release from the aircraft.

Probable cause

The accidental detonation of a bomb following its release caused the aircraft to crash.
