Both main landing gears collapsed after a normal landing, causing the aircraft to skid and catch fire. All eight occupants escaped uninjured, but the aircraft was destroyed.

Incident

Following an uneventful flight from Caracas-Maíquetia-Simón Bolívar Airport, the flight crew completed the approach to Barcelona-General José Antonio Anzoátegui Airport. The airplane landed normally, but after a ground roll of approximately 100 metres, both main landing gears collapsed. The aircraft skidded along the runway before coming to rest. Soon after stopping, the aircraft burst into flames.

Aftermath

All eight occupants evacuated the aircraft without injury. The aircraft itself sustained damage beyond repair as a result of the landing gear collapse, subsequent skid, and fire.
