What happened
On the day of the accident, an aircraft operated by the National Remote Sensing Agency, Hyderabad, was performing a ferry flight from Ahmedabad to Bombay. The flight was carrying a total of four individuals, including the pilot-in-command.
While the aircraft was in the approach phase of its flight, it had communicated its altitude of 4,000 feet to Air Traffic Control. Shortly after this transmission, all communication between the aircraft and ATC ceased. Following the loss of contact, the aircraft was located crashed in the hilly terrain of Taloja village, situated approximately 11 nautical miles east of the Bombay airport.
