What happened
During a scheduled ferry flight from Caracas-Maiquetía-Simón Bolívar Airport to Charallave, a twin engine aircraft impacted a mountain slope. The incident occurred in the vicinity of El Junquito, situated approximately 35 km northwest of Charallave-Óscar Machado Zuloaga Airport. At the time of the impact, the aircraft was in the cruise phase of flight but was operating within poor weather conditions. The collision with the terrain resulted in the total destruction of the airframe and the deaths of both pilots.
