What happened
A private flight departing from São Paulo-Congonhas Airport was en route to Porto Seguro when the accident occurred. The aircraft was carrying a total of 14 people, consisting of two pilots and 12 passengers. During the final approach to runway 15 at Porto Seguro-Terravista Golf Club Airport, the flight encountered difficult weather conditions characterized by nighttime operations and low visibility.
As the aircraft progressed on its approach, it struck a group of trees situated approximately 900 metres from the runway threshold. Following this initial impact, the twin engine aircraft traveled an additional 700 metres before hitting further trees and crashing roughly 200 metres short of the runway. The impact caused the airframe to burst into flames, leading to the total destruction of the plane. There were 14 fatalities and no survivors among the occupants.
