What happened
During the landing phase of the flight, the aircraft experienced a significant impact upon touching down on the runway. Following this hard landing, the aircraft drifted toward the right side of the runway, eventually exiting the paved surface and striking the surrounding terrain.
Upon colliding with the ground, the aircraft caught fire. The intensity of the flames resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. Despite the severity of the impact and the subsequent post-crash fire, there were no injuries reported among the pilot or the passengers on board.
Findings
Investigations into the accident identified that the primary factors involved the pilot's execution of the landing maneuver. Specifically, the sequence of events was driven by an improper flare during the final approach, which led to a failure to maintain necessary directional control of the aircraft as it transitioned to the runway surface.
