What happened
On a flight originating from Florianópolis-Hercílio Luz Airport, the pilot began a journey toward Chapecó. The flight proceeded without incident until the descent phase toward Chapecó-Serafim Enoss Bertasco Airport commenced. During this approach, the aircraft encountered weather conditions characterized by low visibility.
While operating under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), the aircraft struck trees in a heavily forested region situated in Ipumirim, approximately 50 km east of the destination airport. The impact caused the aircraft to burst into flames. The aircraft was completely destroyed by the force of the collision and the subsequent fire. There was one fatality involving the pilot, who was the only person on board.
