What happened

Shortly after departing from the Pousada Amazônia Fisching Lodge Airstrip, which sits on the border of the Brazilian states of Pará and Mato Grosso, a twin engine airplane experienced a sudden loss of control. During the initial climb phase of the flight, the aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent.

The plane struck a forested region, where the force of the impact and a subsequent fire completely destroyed the airframe. There were five fatalities recorded in the accident, as all occupants on board perished during the crash.

Findings

Following the impact, the aircraft was consumed by flames. The wreckage was located in a wooded area near the takeoff site.
