What happened
A positioning flight departed from Campo de Marte Airport at 13:34 local time, with an expected arrival at Paraty Airport scheduled for 14:15. During the descent toward the destination, the crew encountered instrument meteorological conditions.
While attempting to complete the approach under visual flight rules, the twin engine aircraft struck trees in a heavily forested, hilly region.
