What happened
During a night-time charter operation from Frankfurt, Germany, to Nice, France, a twin engine aircraft experienced a catastrophic loss of control while flying over Italy. The flight was transporting a total of six people, consisting of two crew members and four passengers.
While navigating the airspace above the Piedmont region, the plane descended rapidly into the terrain. The impact occurred in a mountainous area situated southwest of Saluzzo. The wreckage of the aircraft was completely destroyed upon impact with the ground. There were six fatalities recorded, as all individuals on board perished in the accident.
Findings
Official investigations into the crash were unable to establish a definitive reason for the descent. While investigators could not confirm the precise trigger for the loss of control, they did not dismiss the possibility that a failure within the electrical system may have contributed to the incident.
