What happened
A charter flight operating from Belize City toward the private airstrip serving Blancane Haven was involved in a fatal accident during its descent. The flight, which was transporting two passengers and one pilot, was traveling to the Privacion Aerodrome when the aircraft went down in a heavily wooded, mountainous region approximately 5 km from its intended destination.
At 10:16 local time, the pilot had communicated that the flight was passing over La Democracia and that the status of the occupants was normal. However, as the aircraft continued its approach, the flight encountered worsening environmental conditions. The wreckage was located by search teams later that same day.
