What happened
During a positioning flight from Lanseria to the aircraft's home base in Lubumbashi, the crew encountered mechanical difficulties involving the engines. In response to these engine problems, the crew attempted to perform an emergency landing along the Lusaka - Chirundu Road.
During the descent or landing attempt, the twin engine aircraft struck a cliff. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. There were two injuries recorded among the occupants, though no fatalities were reported in the accident.
