What happened
A charter flight departed from Las Vegas-McCarran Airport at 14:52 local time, bound for Monterrey. The aircraft was transporting 11 passengers, who were traveling to Mexico following a boxing event in Las Vegas, along with two pilots. During the flight, the crew was operating at FL370 when they received clearance to climb to FL390, with a subsequent instruction to reach FL410 after five minutes.
During this phase of the flight, the aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent. The plane eventually struck the ground in a nearly level attitude within a desert area situated near La Rosita, Coahuila. The impact and a subsequent fire caused the total destruction of the aircraft. All 13 occupants, including the crew, were killed in the accident. Search teams located the wreckage the day after the event.
