What happened
During an approach to land in the waters of Prince Rupert harbor, a seaplane made contact with a floating object. The impact occurred while the aircraft was in the landing phase of flight. Following the collision, the aircraft came to a halt and subsequently submerged.
Emergency responses were able to reach the site, where eight individuals were successfully rescued from the vessel. Tragically, the incident resulted in one fatality among the crew members on board.
