Medan–Meulaboh Flight Crash After Hydraulic Failure (PK-ZAG)

Incident Overview Thirty minutes after departing Medan for Meulaboh, the aircraft experienced a drop in hydraulic pressure. The crew responded by shutting down the left engine and feathering its propeller. ## Emergency Response The aircraft was unable to maintain the prescribed altitude and became unstable. As a result, the crew also shut down the right engine and attempted an emergency landing. ## Crash and Casualties During the emergency landing, the aircraft struck trees and crashed in a swampy area. One pilot was killed, and 13 other occupants were injured. ## Official Findings The official investigation attributed the probable cause to a loss of oil pressure for unexplained reasons.
