What happened
During an approach to Casa Banana, located within the boundaries of Gorongosa National Park, the aircraft encountered heavy vegetation. The flight path was interrupted when the plane made contact with the tops of trees, leading to a subsequent crash in a heavily wooded section of the park.
There were three fatalities among the crew members on board the aircraft. No other individuals were reported to be on the flight at the time of the accident.
Findings
The primary factor in the accident was the aircraft striking treetops while maneuvering through the dense forest area during its final approach phase.
