What happened
During a cargo flight departing from Ocumare del Tuy Airport destined for Puerto Ayacucho, a single-engine aircraft experienced mechanical difficulties shortly after takeoff. While the aircraft was in its climbing phase, the pilot identified issues with the engine and decided to perform an emergency descent toward an avenue located within the city center.
As the aircraft approached the landing site, it struck a telephone line. This impact caused the plane to crash into an autobus traveling on the avenue. The accident resulted in three fatalities, involving the pilot, the driver of the bus, and one passenger on the bus.
