What happened
During an approach to Bogotá-El Dorado Airport, a single-engine aircraft collided with a mountain slope in the vicinity of El Rosal. The impact occurred approximately 19 km northwest of the destination airport while the aircraft was in its descent phase. The accident resulted in eight fatalities and left one passenger with serious injuries.

Preliminary information indicates that the aircraft was operating at an unsafe altitude during the final stages of the approach. The specific reasons why the flight was at such a low altitude prior to the collision remain undetermined.
