What happened
During a survey mission traveling from Phnom Penh toward Kampong Chhnang, a single-engine aircraft was operating on behalf of a Japanese oil corporation. The flight was carrying two people, consisting of the pilot and one passenger. As the aircraft approached the destination of Kampong Chhnang, the pilot encountered worsening weather conditions while navigating through a narrow valley.

The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There were two fatalities among the occupants.
