What happened
Three minutes following departure from runway 29 at Guaymaral-Flaminio Suárez Camacho Airport, the aircraft encountered a critical mechanical failure. While the plane was ascending to an altitude of approximately 200 feet, the engine experienced an explosion, leading to a total loss of power.
Following the engine failure, the aircraft began a descent. During this phase, the plane struck a brick wall, which caused the separation of the undercarriage. The aircraft subsequently performed a crash landing in a nearby prairie, sliding for several dozen meters before the movement ceased. Despite the impact, all five occupants of the aircraft managed to exit the wreckage without sustaining any injuries.
Findings
- The primary factor in the loss of altitude was an engine explosion occurring during the climb phase.
