What happened
On a scheduled flight designated as CFV872, a single-engine airplane departed from Hermosillo-General Ignacio Pesqueira García Airport at 07:00 local time. The flight was bound for Guerrero Negro, Baja California del Sur, carrying a crew consisting of the pilot and one passenger.
Approximately thirty minutes after takeoff, the aircraft ceased all radio and radar communications. Following a period of uncertainty, wreckage was discovered two days later in a remote, unpopulated area within the Tastiota region, situated roughly 30 km southwest of Miguel Alemán.
Findings
Upon investigation of the crash site, it was determined that the aircraft type was completely destroyed during the impact. The accident resulted in two fatalities, involving both the pilot and the passenger on board.
